1 December 2005: the Michael Kearns Workspace, 3929 Fountain Ave in Los Angeles — the barn of a studio where Kearns taught acting and ran workshops — given over entirely to AIDSWatch for twenty-four hours. Twenty-seven television sets and a single monitor lined the room, two of them vintage 1950s sets, every screen running the names in black and white from midnight to midnight. Couches were set up so visitors could sit down and meditate to the rhythm of the names as they passed.
Michael Kearns and David Reid have collaborated on AIDSWatch nine times. This was their sixth.
