In 2017, David Reid wrote to Jeffrey Dash, asking for use of the Vogue Theatre’s new video screens on Hollywood Boulevard — one of the most internationally recognized streets in the world — for AIDSWatch’s twenty-second presentation.
Two screens would carry a World AIDS Day title card. Two would stream the names, in eight languages alongside English.
Jeffrey Dash said yes. The company controlling the boulevard’s marquees went further, putting AIDSWatch across four separate screens, midnight to midnight, for the full twenty-four hours.
