AIDSWatch has been at home on Highways.
On 1 December 2023, ACT UP/LA gathered at Highways, the performance space in Santa Monica, for a reunion in memory of Nancy McNeil and Mary Lucey — longtime companions and frontline activists. The evening was built around poetry, letters, and remembrance: people took the stage one after another to read, and AIDSWatch ran the whole time behind them, its roster of names streaming across the screen as the backdrop to everything being said.
